I opened up a pack of Tim Hortons Team Canada cards and the Canada's Captain Eric Lindros card was damaged. I'm playing hockey with Lindros in the spring so this would be a dynamite card to get signed.

Wow, I just realized half my post isn't showing above... sounds like a big boast on my part. Here's what I mean to post:
I opened up a pack of Tim Hortons Team Canada cards and the Canada's Captain Eric Lindros card was damaged. I'm playing hockey with Lindros in the spring so this would be a dynamite card to get signed. However upon opening it from the package it was noticably damaged (looked like the top layer was peeled off). I reached out to UD customer care and they told me I needed to send it in (tracked), include a receipt and in their return they'll include the value of the card and postage.
The cards arrived there on Feb 22. I reached out a week ago due to no update from them. They have today replied saying "The replacements shipped out via DHL on 3/4/22, Unfortunately DHL does not provide tracking numbers. If you do not receive anything within 8 weeks, please contact us and we will submit a lost package claim."
Does that sound right about DHL? They don't provide tracking info?

That sounds par for the course. I wouldn't expect a large corporate entity to give you personal service like a mom-and-pop store would, where the likelihood that they'd follow-up with you, i.e. call you to check on the situation, is nil.

I'm in Canada as well and I've been shipped stuff by DHL before. My last Comc order was DHL. With tracking.
DHL has a tracking page, not that it helps you without a tracking number. https://www.dhl.com/ca-en/home/tracking.html

I don't want to be a downer, but I am surprised that U.D. gives a damn. I heard they did before, but they totally sc**wed me when I contacted them last year. 20-21 Timmy's set was a total mess, I emailed them pictures showing about a dozen seriously damaged cards and they didn't move an iota. According to my LCS guy, it seems that bad CS is what they specialize in now. They control the hockey market by having an exclusive license, but they can't even have a minimal quality control. It looks like they paid too much for their license and they can't even pay employees decently enough to keep them adequately staffed. Artifacts was also a mess and it was so bad that most of the card stores around here refused to buy that sh*t. Their release schedule is also a joke, but they seem to have worked on their quality issue based on what I heard and saw with 21-22 U.D. flagship set. Design improved too. I hope that CS did as well.
BTW, IRS was not supposed to garnish them and get them bankrupt or close to?

Did you ever get your card ? I have one if you still need it. Also, I have his program of excellence card as well, and his base card. I may also have some random cards from years past. Let me know if you are interested and i'll post just what you need or a package on ebay for dirt cheap.

Not sure if its true or not, but just to add to that, 2 different LCS reps had mentioned that Upper Deck doesn't own thier own printers, (or that they contract out their card production, essentially). It seemed a bit farfetched to me when I heard it from the first guy, but when I heard it again, it kinda stuck in my mind.

Very plausible. A reliable source told several times that some of their early cards were even printed at a precise location up here in Canada no matter if they were marked Printed in USA.

Might I suggest the link below (DHL tracking by reference). Did they give you some sort of Claim# in their reply to you? You can use that as your reference number, also they gave you the date shipped which could also help, also if you enter your address or postal code as the destination you may be able to get a tracking# which you can then track your shipment with.
