I think the main annual sets (and this Team Canada series) are Canada-only, but U.S. restaurants had three regional issues in 2019 not available in Canada. Not sure why they didn't released another set stateside for the next seasons. Anyway, tons of Canadian-issued packs, boxes and cards are floating everywhere. They're very easy to find at cost on Ebay and I even completed most of my base set a year trading with a U.S. member here.
Back to the Team Canada set, it is probably the kind of set I will think "Nah, I'll skip on that one" and I will change my mind and trade to complete it later. That's what I did with the Canadian Tire O-Pee-Chee Coast 2 Coast set, but I still need some SSP to complete my base set. What I am not sure to like is getting more Gretzky, Lemieux, Roy and other superstar legends cards. I like the players, but it would be okay to not have their cards all the time in sets released ten, fifteen, twenty years after they hanged their skates. Once in a while is okay, but not all the time. They continue to include them just to squeeze extra bucks and try to manage higher value for their products. They're like some kind of deluxe fillers, because they feel that they release too many cards season after season to generate enough interest in the current active players. I would be happy with having the current Team Canada players only in the main sets and keep the old-timers for SSP insert sets. That way, everyone would choose if they want to spend more to build these insert sets or not. It is not about being cheapskate, it is just that I would rather pay for something rare from McDavid, Crosby or Price if the set is about the current team (and not about all-time lineups of the national team). Anyway, for what it worth, it seems that they won't even go to the Olympics this time...
