What is the most you have ever spent on a card? I am not big on the expensive cards so it is a 40 dollar Harmon Killebrew auto, (If it seems like much it was gotten along with a custom plaque.)

About $110 for a 1982 TCMA Hawaii Islanders Team Set of 24 cards that included Tony Gwynn. I may have overpaid, but that card was high on my wantlist, and it was better that I got the full set.
As for a single card, I think I won a bid for around $40 for a graded 8 Fernando Tatis Jr. rookie card. Again, I may have overpaid, but it was high on my wantlist. I didn't care for the grading, though.

For a single, it was either my 57T Ted Williams, 61T Mantle or 62T Mantle, I can't remember. I do remember getting a great deal as it was from a trusted dealer. I've spent more for certain sets, and soooo glad I got some of them when I did.

I'm not a big spender when it comes to cards, but this card is one I had been saving for, for quite some time. I spent $667 for the card that was #1 on my want list for the longest time...1997 Bowman's Best Atomic Refractor Autograph:
On my website, I had created a page dedicated to this White Whale and I wrote a blog about it too!
A close second would be this beauty:

For me it was a 1967 Tom Seaver/ Bill Denehy rookie card, #581.
As I recall the dealer had it priced at $250 and I managed to talk him down to $220 or maybe $225.
I got a 1973 Mike Schmidt/ Ron Cey/ (? Padres player) card for $20 and a factory sealed 1984 Donruss set. At the time Beckett had both priced at $300. I'm so happy that I made that deal.

Years ago I splurged and paid full book value for a 1970 Topps Nolan Ryan...$25.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
