Perhaps payment must be made and authorized before it goes from "Ended" to "Sold".

That would help explain the issue here.And I actually like it for many purposes. Someone buys this card for $700+, has immediate buyer regret, and never pays. The card never actually "sells" and that price shouldn't be recognized here.

Well I would accept the $217.50 sale from last July just as long as it has a price. The fact that you have a submit a price but don't actually agree with the sold price is frustrating. I would love to submit more prices but I don't want to waste my time if there isn't any follow through.

I think the problem is that there was only one sale. I was just talking to someone about a 2016 Topps Yasiel Puig 139B that sold for $117. The seller described it as SSP which it isnt...even. Probably a $3 card at best. I really feel like a card needs some sort of sales history rather than just one sale to determine its value.

SirKnight, I don't think anyone was not approving because they disagreed with the price, I think it was an honest review that did not see the auction/sale as actually completed (at that time). I think most of the posts now agree that the sale was completed ( even if some folks think it was an outrageous price). But that is also why the site uses median sale price and warns people not to trust the prices on this site as any sort of expected  actual value. 

I would encourage you to keep submitting prices. Provide links where avalible. If you get a track record of submitting reliable prices eventually they won't have to go through the approval process. Similar to scan self approval.
