I am currently making my first listing on an ebay account I just made. Can you guys give me some suggestions on how to be a good seller? I will post the link to my account whenever I post my first listing.
Thanks.

Provide a clear scan of front and back.
Unless the card is graded, stay away from giving it a grade. Allow the buyer to determine if the condition is acceptable by seeing clear scans.
Compare sold listings based on the condition of what you're selling.
Be accurate on shipping. Trying to make money off shipping will not help you long-term.

Just from a buyers perspective....if you dont scan the backs at least include the card number, keep shipping reasonable and dont hype the card as rare or hard to find (lol im thinking that it if it is a rare card, the people that "know" are already aware of its rarity) I saw someone post 3 "ultra rare, Joe Montana rookie cards" for 8 ea , they are not rare nor are they rookie cards....the 200 card set they came from can be bought for 6 bucks. If nothing else it told me to avoid that seller.

Also, if you at selling multiple cards at the same time include the combined shipping rates in the auction description. At the very least, indicate whether you allow combined shipping and tell buyers they can message you for rates.

Try to give free S&H. Nothing is worse than seeing a card for $3 and $4.95 for S$H.

Cheap, combined shipping is huge. Low initial shipping is also an eye catcher. Any shipping $3+ is likely assumed to be in a bubble mailer, so if you send PWE with $3+ shipping then you're likely going to get flak. You could even offer two methods of shipping and leave it to the bidder to choose which one they want (default to the cheapest, I imagine). I will echo the idea of scanning the backs. I like it when sellers include deliberate pictures of any issues with the cards, like a crease or a busted corner.
Also, and this may sound obvious, but state that the cards in the picture are the ones that the buyer will be getting. I unfortunately found out that an auction I recently won features a picture of cards that the seller is using for two other auctions. He said that he has multiple copies of the same card, but missed the point that just because the player and card is the same doesn't mean the condition is the same. I am a bit worried that I will not be getting the cards in the picture in the auction that I won because for all I know it's an old picture. So... don't be like that guy.

Don't say anything about grading potential. I HATE seeing "PS 10?" on a card description.

I thought eBay was cracking down on that. I admit to trying the "PSA 10?" in the title of a 10 card lot of 2013 Bowman Anthony Rizzo's and it was flagged. I've since stopped of course, but I still do mention it in the description!

Turn off Global Shipping Program (GSP). Most potential out of U.S. buyers will skip your items in reason of that gimmick. Pretty much no one's willing to throw an additional $20.00 or more in shipping to an useless middle guy. In the Ebay opition, select also the countries you wanna ship to (U. S., Canada, U.K., France, Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Japan, Australia, New Zealand...), but avoid all the risky countries or the ones with unreliable postal system (Russia, Italy, Brazil, most African, Asian and South American countries...).
