I have never bought here but may look into it. I am looking at a purchase of 2021 Bowman Chrome Prospects from elsewhere and just looked in at Sportlots and got some pricing. If I go down through Sportlots and start clicking +, can I expect to pay what the individual Card total comes to. I have done the math on a calculator and want to know if that is what I can expect to pay? Thanks guys.

Yes, that'll be the cost for the card BEFORE shipping is factored in. If you click on a seller's name you'll see their shipping rates. Most are tiered, either getting more or less expensive as you add cards. This is important as sometimes a higher selling price is more prefereable than cheaper due to the shipping. Also look at you options. There is a direct mail and Box option. When you ship to your Box you are actually having the cards sent to SportLots proper where they hold the cards until you request a shipment. Many sellers offer DEEP discounts on their Box options. Just remember that shipping from the Box incurs a second fee. I've never had an issue with this as when all is said and done I always save money.

Make sure you're getting as many cards as possible from as few sellers as possible as each seller has the cards listed and will need to send to you. You will pay shipping for each seller you are buying from. That can add up quickly. It may be cheaper to buy a bunch from one seller at 25 cents each than from 2 sellers at 18 each. Do the math.

Thanks guys. I am looking at $14.50 in Sportlots Value to get 36 Cards to help towards my Set. That is low price. I am just gonna make that offer to see where it goes. Obviuosly with the 2021 Bowman Chrome there were several available for each Card. Does Sportlots narrow the Sellers down for you or is that something I have to do. Right now I am on All Sellers. Not sure I am filtering Individual Sellers correctly. My question is: If I make a list will Sportlots auto obtain all those from one seller if possible? Not looking at a purchase from one of our Members but through Facebook. If it were one of our Members I would talk this over with them. Thanks again.

You will have to add the cards to your cart individually. Sportlots does ZERO work for you as far as determining anything like that.

Thanks. I have been doing a lot of trading the last 2 weeks on here, but with my busy schedule, a small purchase is always welcome. I just hit 354 Completed Trades in my 3 years on here. I always say it has been the best thing in collecting since asking Dad for 50 cents or so in 1978 to buy a pack.

I use sportlots a couple of times per month for 10-15 years
when looking at your shipping cart page, you can click on the seller id to see what their postage cost is for 1 card, 1-4 cards, 10-25 cards, etc
from same screen if you click on the blue box you can go to that dealer's page (so you can search there for others you need to maximize postage.
for instance, If a seller charges 1.00 for postage for 1-4 cards, I find one or two 'primary wants' that I was searching for, then, find a few 'secondary wants' from same dealer page to make it 4 cards (or whatever postage level you are trying to reach)
it is confusing at first, but like anything, you get used to moving around after a few times..
good luck in your search!

I use Sportlots mostly for cards that I cannot trade for on TCDB, but it's a lot of work, and worth the effort.
It's quirky and needs updating on the technology it uses, but it's still a much better option overall in my experience buying cards online.
You do have to compare shipping costs as many seem to have lowered their threshhold on purchasing less than five cards to where shipping offsets any price savings.
When you click on the + sign to open up the card purchase option and you're shown what each dealer has, you can click on "Details" and then find the link on the right side for searches of that vendor's particular set or of their whole inventory. Once you've made choices from various vendors in the cart you can filter per vendor and buy that way.
Be careful, though, when editing what you're buying because sometimes for example say you've got 41 items in your cart for a vendor. That usually pushes it into a Premium shipping cost. If you were to remove one card to get to 40, the shipping will remain at the Premium rate even though a lower option is there. It's easy to change it with the update shipping button, but you have to keep alert.
I've used it for about five purchases over the past two weeks and recommend it more than COMC, Beckett, or Ebay.

Great advice here! I just created a Sportlots account this week, so I'm going to play around, because for me it seems like a much better cost option than COMC.
And I think their shiping to Canada has improved recently if I read that correctly?

I could probably buy the already complete sets cheaper somewhere else, but I like getting my maildays.

I often do exactly as Mark said before. One thing I have discovered is that many sellers have 1-4 shipping costs, but adding say 6 is a very nominal or often zero increase. I find that especially true with limits of Qty 10. I add 15 into the cart for that seller and same cost. Sportslots takes a little back and forth, but just make a logic game out of it and don't get lost in the weeds.
Have fun, Greg
