1987 Topps baseball. Growing up in Texas, I only paid attention to the individual players on the Rangers and Astros at the time. I opened that pack, looked at the first card, and said "Dad, who's Don Mattingly?"

1979 Topps hockey... Purchased three packs at a 7-11 and I was hooked (no pun intended).

1994-95 Upper Deck Series 1 hockey. I have opened some non-sport and other sport packs before but that was 1st I bought on my own money.

Have no Earthly recollection. Could have been 1970 or 71 as I recall getting packs of The Fleer Laughlin World Series cards from a mall toy store or department store. My earliest trading card memeries are trading with my older brother somewhere between 1968 and 1970 maybe 1971 due to the cards we traded.

My older brother (by 5 years) and I would walk to the neighborhood grocery store and spend our allowance each week on baseball cards. First year I remember was 1966. Wonderful memories of 'collecting' baseball cards.

It was 1966, but not sure if it was 1966 Philadelphia Football or 1966 Topps Baseball. That's the year my eyes were opened to sports namely the San Francisco Giants and Dallas Cowboys. I'm trying to collect the whole football set and am down to about halfway there. May never go for the baseball set, and do have my Mays card from it, so all is well (except for a few others like McCovey and Marichal). Anyone with a spare Sayers? (In poor condition like my Mays as that's all I can afford!)
