I wanted to get the community's input before submitting an IR. It appears that these Dale Earnhardt Jr. cards are the same set, though listed seperately. One is a single card set and the other has 5 cards plus a COA. I had originally requested the addition of the single card, and at the time the other set wasn't listed.
Also, these Dale Earnhardt Sr. cards appear to be very similar, possibly the same. There are 2 sets listed for Danbury Mint and 2 sets listed for Gold Collectibles. https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/240849/2001-Danbury-Mint-Dale-Earnhardt-7-Time-Winston-Cup-Champion-23kt-Gold-Cards, https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/240850/2001-Danbury-Mint-Gold-Collectibles-Dale-Earnhardt-Career-&-Championship-23kt-Gold-Cards, https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/240851/2001-Gold-Collectibles-Dale-Earnhardt-23kt-Gold, https://www.tcdb.com/ViewSet.cfm/sid/240852/2001-Gold-Collectibles-Dale-Earnhardt-7-Time-Winston-Cup-Champion-23kt-Gold-Card. The 2 that have the most similarity are the 2 7-Time Champion sets. I'm not sure if they are exactly the same, since there aren't images listed for both sets, but sound the same based on the descriptions.
Thank you for any input on these.

These are all different. The first one is an actual gold card. The 5 card set is on normal card stock.
There were a ton of different Earnhardt Gold cards issued in this time. I have most and they are different, just not a good scanner to upload pictures.

Some of the images uploaded may not be in the right place. The image in the last link you shared is definitly incorrect. I will go through these later when I have cards in hand.

I can't find one for sale now, but the Danbury Mint 7 time champion set is the same as the Gold Card set, except there is no 7 time champion logo on the card front and they came in a Danbury Mint folder/book thing,.

Thank you for all of the info. I wasn't sure so I was going to check with everyone here before submitting an IR. Good thing I did. I was wondering if they were accidently listed in 2 different locations. I appreciate you taking the time to tell me what they were and how they were released, as well as the links to view them.

No problem. These are pretty confusing as there are a lot of variations, the same card fronts were often used in multiple years with different backs and even manufacturers. Some of these gold cards had been issued under the Classic brand name years before.
