Did eBay just change their search categories? All of my saved searches aren't working well. It appears that all of the various sport sub categories have been removed. Anyone else having this issue?

Most of my searches are specific enough not to matter too much but I do see what you are saying. I'm suddenly getting some football results that I shouldn't be and I can't drill down more specifically from "sports cards"

My saved searches are all keyword based, and not category-specific (too many people were not careful enough with their listings when I started on ebay and I would have missed many items if I only looked in the card-specific categories). Because of that (maybe), I am not seeing any issues with my saved searches.

If you are looking for a specific cards it should work. Idk about saved searches because I don't use it that way. However, when I was searching singles they were popping up.

The bad thing about ebay is they make changes and rarely tell their clients which is a terrible way to treat your customers. They do this often. They have no clue as to how run their UX section. The only time they tell you about changes is when they are required to by law and that usually involves money.

Maybe about a month ago, Ebay's search changed to be loose. So now it is like Google where it will show results for things you didn't type in. This had resulted in my saved searches getting hits for wrong things and I also see this when I am researching products on Ebay manually. I just decided to delete all of my saved searches because they are useless now.
