How long do you let a trade offer go without a response? I know that people have a lot going on and may not be able to get back right away. I also know that trades get stale (cards end up in other deals or they don't because they may end up in this trade). I think not getting back at all is worse than declining and happens too often.

My answer (coming from someone who has been very busy the last 12 months with a job change) is however long you want to wait. What I'm getting at is there is no harm in pulling a trade offer whenever you feel you want to. It's just a trade offer. I have been guilty (multiple times) of intending to get back with someone and not following through over the busy last 12 months. In this time I have had a handful of members pull back trade offers because I took too long.I don't hold anything against them for pulling a trade offer and hopefully they don't hold any ill will against me for not finding the time and not responding (my non-response is more because I hope to help them out and trade but am looking for the time to follow through on my part of the trade).
My long drawn out point is that I think it is OK any time for a member to withdraw a proposal they have made. It's not like the trade offer can't be made again if needed.

If a trade offer has been out there for a week (7 days) and absolutely no response is indicated, I do the withdraw. If the offer recevies any indication of interest, I'll give the offer another week.

I think BOCards is doing what is generally done. I just don't think it is an important issue. Heck, if I'm not mistaken if you pulled an offer and the other member sent you a note saying I was just going to respond I think you can resubmit the offer from your cancelled offers list.

1 week is the most I let one sit there. But when I get an offer I try to inform the person who sent me a trade offer I am away at work and when I expect to be back. Most times I get home late on A Monday night and Tuesday morning I try to finish up the incoming trades by marking recieved and leave feedback. If I can't get it done in the morning I continue at night and sometimes it's actually Wednesday when I can start pulling cards from new offers and agree or counter offer. During the day I work on my little ranch I have usually from daylight to dark and try to complete one trade during lunch

Usually I will let it sit for 5-6 days with no response (including a weekend) before I pull it, but will do it much quicker if another trader is looking for some of the cards in that trade offer.

I let it sit there for a week. Then send a PM asking if they saw it and are interested. I let that PM go for another week and if I get no response. I dump it & I move on. I think two weeks is enough time with no response at all. Life does get in the way sometimes. So I give it two weeks.
Most times I do get a response from the PM and are willing to work with them. Sometimes it's work or a family emergency or they are on a vacation. Sometimes they are just taking a break from trading.
I also don't bother sending a trade proposal for anyone that has no logged it in the last 10 days. There is no point if they are not here.
It's really it's up to you. But sending a PM dose help. Most have the PM alert connected to their e-mail.

I give it a week, then I PM asking if they're interested and give it another week. If I don't get a response, I withdraw and move on.
I myself try to message back if I'm busy and let the other person know I need a few days to review and get back to them, but I understand this is a hobby for most of us and we all have jobs, family and lives outside of this.

I generally go at least a week. If they make a comment that it will be a little bit before they can get to it I generally give them a little more time because they have at least let me know they saw it.

I typically let it sit a week and then withdraw at that point. After two or three days of no response, I do send the person a message outside of the transaction friendly reminding them I sent then an offer and would just like to know their thoughts on it. It's made a difference.
