I bought some cards from a dealer named BJRedSox off of Beckett Marketplace. He sent a card that was the pacific copper instead of the gold he advertised. Sent numerous other cards he called NM that weren't. I emailed him told him I can live with the others because even though they are not as advertised they are not worth the hassle to return, but I need a refund of the one he sent me that was a copper instead of the gold and also for the one he claimed was NM/MT but had part of the picture missing (maybe would grade as poor but probably just authentic). Those 2 cards since made in 98 and 2000 cost only $ 1.12.
He wants me to pay the postage in order to send back. He said once receiving the cards he will refund the amount I paid or $ 1.12.
Based upon the converstions we have had over email and the way the cards looked I am sure that he is trying to take advantage of all the new people to the hobby and if I do not send with tracking he will claim to have never received them.
I have had numerous other times where I received the wrong product or something that was not as described and the other party was always willing to pay the return postage or accept the scans I send them as proof. At this point I'm debating if I should pursue this just on the principle or just accept this and leave a negative review.
My question is is this normal when dealing with Beckett Marketplace? Almost all of prior experience has been with private websites, SportLots, EBay, or COMC
