In checking the daily stats report, it seems about 150 of the top 250 baseball cards that users have in their want lists are from the 1972 Topps set.

That's quite a heavy ratio considering the amount of different sets there are to work on. Are there really that many of you currently working on this set, or is this some sort of listing anomaly?

Does it count as "currently working on the set" if you are building a bunch of sets simultaneously? If so, I'm definately "working on it".

Have extras to trade too.

I am working on this set now and it's been slow going. I have mainly newer stuff to attempt to trade to complete it and will definitely give up volume.

Wow, 150 out 250 from the '72 Topps baseball set ... but, I can believe that.  I was ten when they were issued and that design stunned us kiddies ... was jaw-dropping back then and now.

One of the complete sets I'm proudest to own. Loved it as a kid. Love it now. Keep plugging away at, folks! 

I should dig into that list more often and see if I can complete some sets for some people.

I can't wrap my head around only working on one set at a time. That makes zero sense. Why would you ignore cards you want for any reason? I'm not talking about because they are priced to high or don't mean your condition requirements, I mean not even looking at all. 

Most of my best finds and happiest memories come from being in the right place at the right time and finding something I wasn't looking for. 

Oh trust me, I, myself, have a lengthy list of sets I'm working, some vintage some modern. If this pandemic price can go away already I might actually make progress on a few of them (30x pricing on some cards all of a sudden, really???). But I have a list spanning all 4 sports... you just won't see me vintage wants actually listed here.

Edit: And was '72 chosen as an example because it's the Heritage set about to be released this coming month......
