You're at a dealers table and he's got the following 55 Bowman's all in similar condition and you've only got $50 to spend. How do you spend it?
Banks - $40
Mays - $30
Berra - $30
Kaline - $20
Rizzuto - $10

Mays and Kaline. No brainer.
Or, Mays, and go look for something else.

The 'similar condition' being? If they're all VG/EX or better, I'm looking for the extra $80 and shall soon return!

Make an offer on the Banks / Mays, accept the Mays / Berra counter offer.

I'm a long time Berra fan so I'll have to recuse myself from this decision.

I'd only be interested in the Kaline. Snatch it up, go get lunch, and still have a few bucks left over.

I went with offer him $50 for the Mays and Berra and didn't second guess myself when he accepted. I would say they were all in the fair to good range. Just happy to knock some big ones off the want list!

I would have to go with the Yanks. Berra and Rizzuto for 40 bucks and then go have lunch with the other 10.

I'm not a set collector, nor do I collect any of those players. But I'd have went after Banks and Mays. If no deal for the $50, gimme the Banks and I'm moving to the next table with the rest of my money. Really easy to trade a Banks card for an STL card I need!
But that's a good call for the set, Jason. Congrats!
