hey everyone i bought a 1990 fleer baseball card set on amazon from kruk cards the page clearly says factory sealed set so i bought it and yesterday i opened the set only to discover there are eight missing cards in the factory sealed set two player cards boston red sox rob murphy and texas rangers jeff kunkel and the first six 1989 world series cards are also missing which iff it's a factory sealed set with a seal on the front i don't understand why eight cards are now missing i am filing a complaint with amazon against kruk cards for their business practices and zero customer service so if anyone buys a set from amazon please avoid that seller i have now purchased another factory set this time the 10th anniversary green box set i'm hoping has the missing cards

I have never had a problem with Kruk Cards. I have bought factory sets before (not from Kruk), which had several cards missing and had an doubles of others. Just curious, if you joined this site just to complain? Seems you are a new member and have done nothing else with this site.

It may not be Kruk's fault. I've bought FS of nearly every major release from that period, all brands, and I have come across many sets that were missing 1 or more cards or have had cards damaged inside. Yes, fully factory sealed and the Donruss sets inside their individual cellophane wrap.During that era quality control wasn't exactly priority number 1 from any manufacturer.
Also, they may have bought a large lot of sets and their initially checks may have shown it as sealed, but in the past someone may have gotten into it. Buy seeing all the stars and rookies seem to be present I'm sure it's a QC concern.
I've bought from Kruk a lot and have never had an issue.

I also have dealt with Kruk before with no issues.
You literally signed up here to bash one of the hobby stalwarts? Wow. Brazen.

Hey Dan, in your short post you used 4 more punctuation marks than the OP did. As I read his post, I thought his keyboard must be missing the "." key.

The best thing to do is contact Kruk cards, talk to them about it and figure it out. Instead of just posting a long rant here

I've opened factory sealed sets and discovered a few cards missing while duplicates of others made the total number equal out. Not sure how it got that way, but never blamed the dealer or distributor since the set was sealed correctly.

I opened a factory sealed 1990 Fleer update with the same fortune. Luckily one of the duplicates was the Frank Thomas rookie.

Just throwing it out there for the OP - all eight cards you're missing are on Sportlots for $0.18 each.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

I've picked up factory sealed sets in that era, and in the year of release that had cards MIA.
Just the bad luck of the draw.
I would only get suspicious about tampering years/decades later if one, or more, of the missing cards was a considered a key card of the set, even if it wasn't an RC.
