I have an order coming that was being shipped UPS. The latest update was that my package was left at a post office. Has anybody seen this happen before?

Yes if it is UPS smart post. They hand stuff off to the post office quite a bit.

From the UPS website: "UPS SurePost® is an economy, residential, ground service. This service combines the consistency and reliability of the UPS Ground network with final delivery typically provided by the U.S. Postal Service."

Smart Post is FedEx to USPS, if I'm not mistaken (which I very well could be).

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

That's one of the services President Trump strongly suggested the USPS was being taken advantage of.

When I worked for a call center in 2017/2018, we utilized Smart Post (FedEx to USPS) often. I can't speak to anything before that, but I think it's been a while

Former UPS employee here - UPS and FedEx have had these services where the USPS goes the "final mile" for at least a decade, probably much longer (I've tried to repress many memories of working there). This is not a new thing.

Former USPS here as well. Been out for just over a year. I always felt like we delivered more for UPS than they did themselves.
