Glue on vintage cards is something you probably do not want to attempt to remove. Depending on the card's era you may end up doing more damage trying to remove it. So if you are looking at pre-70s, then leave it. If it is a more modern card where there is coating, you can try using panty hose (or similar material) and gently rub across it. I know people have used this before with gum stains, but it isn't perfect.
