What is everybody's thoughts on box cut cards? 

The only ones that I've made any effort to collect are the early 60's Post Cereal, New York Yankees only. Being that they're hand cut I don't care much about the condition for my collection so long as they're still legible and intact. As far as I know there's no standard issue, i.e. factory cut, so I only try to collect them at bargain prices.

I have some O-Pee-Chee ones that I still need to cut from last year.  I know there is a Carey Price card there but can't remember the other fellers.  Anyways, I like them and I always use my cutting mat, a metal straight edge and my trusty exacto knife to cut the cards.

They are one of my recent passions in collecting. I'm in the process of trying to assemble the '62 Post baseball set, but am also enamored with any type box cuts; from traditional card companies and food/oddball issues. I am unconcerned with condition of these, although some I've acquired are in pristine condition. Those ALWAYS attract my attention when they show up on Recent Matches and other Trade Lists.

The problem I've yet to resolve is whether to cut them into the cards they were meant to be or leave them as panels. Eventually I will probably cut them, but for now I've got a few sets still as panels.

For me it depends on the product I think. For vintage stuff like the 60's Post and Jello cards, and the 70s Hostess cards I don't mind some of the "kindergarten" cut ones. For newer issues I prefer ones that have better straight cuts or try to find still on box (or uncut from full side)

I like box cut cards, Hostess, Post, Kraft, box bottoms, etc. Of course I like all oddball, oversized, minis, discs, etc. Really anything that has a Red Sox player on it.

I have quite a few box cut cards and always cut them down.

All the ones i've seen on here, including ones I've uploaded, show as cut to size.
