So all i can find at Target and wal mart lately are magic the gathering, garbage pail kids and fortnite.
I wont touch magic with a ten foot pole, but today i was seeing some real high prices on fortnite on ebay?  Is anyone here collecting fortnite cards?

I started playing the game over christmas break and i am hooked.    

I started playing Fortnite 2 years ago and still play. Not interested in the cards though.

My kids enjoyed collecting the Series 1 cards, but haven't been able to find S2 anywhere.

I shared your feelings on Magic cards until I was introduced to the game about a year ago by my son. It's a very fun game once you get over the learning curve. The cards themselves are very collectible too. Plus valuable cards hold their value because they are playable in the game. This makes them very easy to liquidate. I've gotten more monetary value out of Magic cards in my short time collecting/playing than I've gotten in sports cards.

Of course coronavirus has had an effect on the game. In person tournaments have been on hold for nearly a year and online versions of the game may threaten the future value of "paper" Magic.
