You just paid a record price for a baseball card, paying $1.3M more than the previous high mark, and $2.4M more than this exact card sold for just 2 years ago.  How can that possibly be considered highly underpriced unless we are in the midst of one of the biggest bubble in history?

Because he's setting the stage for his own sale of the card. Stating underpriced so he can sell for an even more exponentially higher price. That's how crazy it is right now. 

I think he's saying it was underpriced at its previous price. In other words, he's trying to convince himself that $5.2 million was a good deal.

Obviously at 2.8M, it was underpriced as someone else was bidding against him and probably stopped bidding around 5M.  Now the Trout card for 3.9M, that is overpriced no matter if another fool was also bidding and went as high as 3.8M.

Maybe now's the time to sell my 90 Fleer Uribe?

I agree with Jimetal7212.     He's not going to say "Oh, I think I got hosed".    

Considering how expensive this card is, it's virtually impossible to complete a 1952 Topps sets.  Are there any other Topps sets that would compare to this?
