I've bought several of those re-packed packs for the dollar store near me, and while it was nothing I needed for my PC, several of those cards ended up in trades on here. One man's junk card is another man's completed set ...

I have thought about buying their product for some time. Haven't done it yet and now that they branched out to Football I'll have to try to get both sports. I've been thinking of getting a box or two, maybe even just by the packs. I like that they reach back to vintage years and don't stop at the late 1980s. I'd like to get a full box and keep one pack unopened and the box for nostalgic purposes but open the rest of the packs and possilbly get more on occasion to open. I've been pretty tight with the purse strings though so I don't know.

I bit the bullet on an 18 pack half box of baseball this morning. I've been itching to rip some wax, and I'm intrigued by what might be on the other side of these wrappers. I'm happy to report back my findings to this thread for any others who are on the fence. I figure for $0.20/card I'll take the gamble.

I'm intrigued by this as well. There's just something about opening a football pack. Shipping is pretty steep though to get it up here to Canada so that may deter me a little. If I could access my US PO Box this wouldn't be such a question anymore.

So my box of 18 packs arrived today, just over two weeks since I ordered it. Shipping time was actually reasonable; it took almost a week for them to get it out the door. Not a big deal for me. Everything packaged very nicely, including the packs. I debated on how best to chat about what I received, but I decided I'll just provide a brief breakdown here in this post for anyone thinking about purchasing. Out of a total of 270 cards, some highlights:

Decade-by-decade breakdown is about what you'd expect:

1950's: 1

1960's: 2

1970's: 33

1980's: 128

1990's: 95

2000's: 6

2010's: 3

2020's: 2

Overall final thoughts: I won't be doing it again for a while, but that's not necessarily a knock against the company. There were an average of about 2 1960s/1970s cards per pack, and even the 1980's had plenty of early-decade representation. The 1990s had a smattering of sets I had never seen before too. I would say that roughly 50% of the box was that "junk wax" era from 1987-1993, however.

Ultimately, my collection is pretty narrow for purchases like these. Most of these sets I haven't even started building and probably never will, and the selection of Reds is few and far between (though I don't know the exact team breakdown). At this point, I've got a lot of COMC and PIF fodder, and a few new cards to thumb through this weekend when I'm done with homework for the week. Take it for what it's worth.

Here is my haul from a half box. Fairly similar to Jason's above but with a couple more '59s, no serial numbered cards, and nothing newer than 2015. I was disappointed that a few cards had significant damage and even Scotch tape, but overall it's a fun product.
