? about collecting cards for player's milestone events in career

If you put together a collection of cards that represented a milestone event in a player's career, for example, the Cy Young
Award, would you collect the card of the year it actually happened, or the following year, which would have the stats of the award winning year on the back of the card?

I would do it the following year after the event happened. Before Topps Now/Panini Instant these achievements would be recognized on the following year's cards. 96 Fleer (or was it 97?) had foil stamps on the front that specifically recognized award achievements to niclude if they were a league leader in a category.
