I go to Target this morning just after 8 AM. I have to walk past the Cards to get to what I need, There are 5 men standing there waiting. There also was a delivery guy talking to them so I listened in. He says people are waiting when the stores open and they know which day he makes deliveries at which Targets. So, so much for ever finding cards.

I was at a wal mart near me as well about two months ago. They were doing the same thing. Two guys. One stated to me he was there last night and the lady didnt show to stock up so he came in the morning. Its crazy.
The one time I loaded up on panini chronicles, was i just happened to be there in the middle of the day.

This just reeks of desperation whenever I read about this stuff. Unfortunately, one can't use the line "get a hobby!" when walking by, so you'd have to say "get a different hobby!" instead. Makes one wonder what would happen if you walked in with a empty blaster box under your jacket and threw it on the floor in front of them.

This is so sad. Do the five men arm wrestle to divide up the restock??
How can you get kids interested in the hobby if they don't even have the opportunity to buy packs at the store like we used to when we were kids?

Agreed, but on the bright side, I see plenty of Moms and Dads bringing their children into the LCS to get cards. Some of the kids are into the sports some are into the Pokemon. Either way always nice to see the parents with their kids.

I am seeing them listed on facebook marketplace regularly now as well (with markups as you would expect)
I will pass on that and buy vintage instead.

I gave up sports this year, so now I'll probably never buy any new card product - even if I wanted to.

Yeah I came across the same thing at my local Target recently. Just wait them out, these bozos will overextend. I've been finding pretty good pricing on 2016-18 this year.

I dropped by my Wal-Mart a few days ago and looked at their 'card section'. 4 foot section, 90% is gaming cards. Something told me to look behind Pokemon cards, I found 3 hangers of 2020 Bowman Platinum at $23 each and 2 megaboxes hidden. I got one hanger, between hobby budget and saving up for Christmas I didn't want to buy more. Didn't pull anything great as usual. I run into a longtime guy I know weeks ago, I found out he's a mega card collector. He runs a route in a few parishes and buys up sports in Wal-Mart's except around here. He showed me a video of his mancave, literally over a hundred blasters, hangers, megaboxes of baseball, football, and basketball. All sealed. Ginter, Optic, Topps, Panini, etc. Guess I'll try to buy a blaster or something from him since I can't find anything.....
