Is it just me behind the times? or does anyone else get frustrated at sellers that charge 4 bucks shipping for a single common card? .55 stamp + .25 toploader + .10 sleeve protector + .10 enelope= 1.00. I know,I know you simply don't buy from that seller if you dont want to pay the shipping, Im just feeling irritated that some sellers generate revenue by overcharging on shipping.(seems commonplace) Wouldnt a seller generate more sales by using actual costs? Rant was generated by a seller charging 4 bucks shipping + .25 if you wanted it shipped in a toploader (soooo charging 4 bucks for what exactly? .75 in actual cost and the rest is labor?)

At that price, i would expect a bubble mailer and tracking.
Where are you seeing that price with outthat type of service?

You mean like the $6 i got charged for 2 cards? He didn't like that I won the auctions way below what I'm guessing he wanted so when I asked for combined shipping ($4 per card originally) I got a whopping $2 discount. All for something that could have been shipped for under $3. Most seller's I've dealt with would have just killed of the second $4 and that is what I was hoping; I ws okay for paying $4 for both. Nope, this guy was sore because he didn't get big bucks for his cards so stick it to me on shipping.

Loads of sellers on Ebay are $4 shipping, but Im specifically referring to a seller on Comc. Kinda tough to accept 4 bucks shipping for a $1 or less card

That's COMC's starting shipping price. If you're buying from them you're better off buying in bulk or a few cards worth the shipping.
For those types of cards I look to trade for, or If I am buying I go to Sportlots where I can find shipping for one card being reasonable. If you desire tracking then you'll have to pay at least $3.50 with most sellers.

One to four cards can safely be shipped for a total of $1 as was cited in the first comment. For $4, you should get the bubble mailer and probably tracking.

I would think they lose a lot of money in the long run in lost sales. I see so many cards I want, fairly cheap, but i dont even bother enlarging for a closer look because the shipping runs me off.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

The owner of the card (selling through COMC) does not ship or set the shipping cost. COMC cheapest shipping price is is $4.99 no matter how many cards at the same time. COMC do not ship in a PWE. All of their shipments have tracking. If you buy cards from COMC through E Bay extra cards you buy at that time from them are free $0.00 shipping for each additional eligible item you buy from comc_consignment.
Why would someone buy a $1 or less card and pay $4 even if it is in a package with tracking.
YES I do think sellers try to make a little extra on shipping. Paying $4.99 and getting the card in a PWE is not cool to me. I just try to not buy from them

Are they from different sellers? That would make shipping higher. Each seller has their own shipping schedule per how many cards are purchased. That part does matter.
