Hey group,
Just wondering if there was an index card that is out there to purchase for adding tabs in the storage boxes. I use it to sort my cards by year/set, but also by year on my PCs. Tired of cutting or using not great methods that are not tall enough.

I don't use index card anymore; got tired of cutting myself. I use these as my card dividers now. They work great and are tall anough to clear the card, see the writing you put on it and get a lid on the box still.

In my shoeboxes I use CardKillers (CardSavers) with a small label stuck on it.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

How do these ones from Matt's Baseball compare in shape and thickness to the BCW ones?

Never used the BCW ones so can't quite tell outside of these one's being (much) cheaper. I'm sure you can find them at other places too, I just happen to get mine from him. I looked at BCW specs and they are both the same size, but no thickness comparisions. These work great for me so I, personally, can't complain.

I use used top loaders that have the dreaded clear skotch tape on them along with a black marker. They stick up just enough higher than the cards to allow writing on them. Plus, they're clear and you can see the cards behind them.

I bought a ton of the BCW white dividers - short and tall. My wife got me a bunch of labels from work and I've been using a ton of those. I also have some dividers she cut me at work made out of like oak tag or something. It helps having a wife working for a printing company to help with organizational materials.

BCW has a new product coming out early next year - it's basically a heavy duty plastic monster box with built in dividers and the ability to add more dividers. It's definitely up my alley because I prefer to have this kind of flexibility is storing 100-500 card sets in penny sleeves in a shoebox or monster box with a fairly defined way of separating the sets without having them slip all over the place.

I use the BCW dividers - the tall ones are great, but they do not serve as a barrier to keep cards contained in an area within a box. I end up using empty clear plastic boxes a lot of time to keep cards separated and from sliding around.
