I recently have become infatuated with British trading card sets. Specifically older tobacco, tea, and candy non-sport issues. So much so that I've accumlated a nice library of reference catalogs and what not.
Anyways I've started going through the Typhoo tea issues and I have a question for the community to see if we can come to some consensus on how these sets should be entered. More specifically how Typhoo should be entered as a brand. As you can see from the image Typhoo on the packaging and throughout the companies over 100 year history has had that little dot between Ty and phoo.
Anyways, my question is for consistacny how should Typhoo be entered in the database?
Typhoo, TyPhoo, Ty-phoo, Ty-Phoo, Ty.Phoo, Ty.phoo, something else?
Even within the database there are multiple spellings of the brand. I'm also guilty of adding sets as Ty-Phoo. But I'm leaning on cleaning up the sets and making them all Typhoo as a brand, as the company now owned by the Indian company Apeejay Surrendra Group usually just refers to the brand as Typhoo.
But I wanted to throw this out there. I know we have a quite a few UK members who could possibly ring in.
