I'm aware that COMC is having delays in their shipping, due to Covid19. But they are very vague about it.  I usually buy a lot of cards for my brother for Christmas on that site.  Has anyone placed a recent order with them, who can tell me how long it took to get the cards?  Does anyone know, possibly from social media, whether they will do a free shipping day this year?  I don't want to wait too long to have an order shipped, and not get it by Christmas.

I can't help much, but I've heard others say that rush shipping has been getting shipped out quick (while order place in the summer are still delayed).  As for the free shipping, I doubt they will ever do it again.  The last year or two they've done buy $100 worth of cards then get a free shipping voucher or something like that, its the reason I have cards I haven't had shipped in almost two years.  I was hoping their shipping problems would get better before the holidays, but I doubt it will.  At worst, I hope to get mine shipped around my birthday or sometime in the Spring next year.  Any longer and I'll probably just use up my balance and have them shipped and not place orders with them until they figure it out.

For actual Comc shipping information for your inventory, you have to go through the shipping checkout process.  You will have all the shipping options of dates of delivery (to the day) and costs.  Then you can go ahead and purchase your desired shipping or exit and all is cleared.  
 

I just checked yesterday and shipping regular USPS is into next year.  For $30 expedited I could have my delivery (100 cards) in a couple weeks.  There will not be any free shipping days this year.

Any Comc auction on eBay ships immediately, but obviously are more expensive card costs than direct on the Comc site and paying $4.99 s/h per auction.

I placed a 23-card order on July 21st, and was prompty informed that the shipment would go out October 21 with a delivery (across country) on October 27. They have not updated me during this wait and I will not hold my breath that it will get here when advertised.

That being said, they have been very good with shipping, communication, and the like in the many times prior to when I've ordered.

Other collectors have recieved shipments which were placed in June in record time after paying a little extra, so I don't expect any deals or 'free' anything from them for quite some time.

Here is what cpmes up for me:    Keep in mind the cost for addition items is not the  normal .25 for handling.

Also per an other site some people are seeing delays longer them what is showen.  It is odd as some say they get them on time when other say it is late by weeks.

So what is their excuse for the delays?  Just saying Covid-19 without expanding on it is pretty generic on their part.  I'm told places like Amazon are still shipping fast.  Are they short-staffed?  Were they closed completely for a while and they're still playing catch-up?  Is the penny sleeve and top loader shortage to blame?

They were shut down for a while due to Washington State being one of the first hot zones when this whole thing hit. Perhaps some employees feared going back. They would have an awful large number of orders if a catch-up game is their only reason now. Previous orders were processed so quickly in the past. Not explaining in further detail over six months later leaves any excuse as an option.

Ordered July 17, received july 23rd.

Made a purchase on July 5, and the immediate response was that it would ship October 5.  Expected, so no biggie.

On Wednesday, October 14, I received an email entitled "Shipment Update: Packaging".  Cool.

But it went on to say "Thank you for your purchase. Your order is being packaged with an expected shipping date of 10/5/2020."

...Must be coming in a DeLorean.

1.  All purchased from them through E-bay is on top of their list for shipping.  1 to 3 days.

2.  They were behind on shipping after last Black Friday's sale.  Then Covid hit.  Adding they had just started their E-bay actions right after Black Friday and people were working on it.

3  They only had a few staff in the building for weeks.  Just to do the E-bay stuff.

4.   Right now the receiving / processing / shipping the E-bay actions is on the top of their list.  Then processing to get more cards for sale come before shipping out .  Unless you are willing to pay more.

5.  It toke them longer then they though to get the work at home going.  Shipping still has to be done at the building with limited staff.

6.  If you have an order of a 10 cards they do not go pull your 10 card .  Then on to the next order.  Your 10 cards are pulled with other orders so it takes longer.  Your 10 cards may take a few days to pulled and ready for shipping people.

7.  Amazon and other business are fully staffed for the most part.  COMC was at bare bones for some time.

8.  They have run a lean machine and it worked until now.  Once the back log got big it was/is hard to catch up.  They are trying to hire.

9.  Sounds like they are spending time on other projects also.   We will never know as they will not tell us.  Why, Where, and What is happening there.
