I'm with C2Cigars and pianojazzman. If I get something that's deemed "investment" worthy, it's completely unintended. Sure, some of the cards I add to my collections end up being "worth" more than I paid, maybe even significantly more. I don't care. If I intentionally acquire a card, it's for my collection that at this time, I have zero interest in ever parting with it.
I know what a card is worth to me and I don't give a darn what it's worth to anyone else.

Turning off trading because my collection is in complete disarray after moving and I don't know when I can get it organized.

Yeah I definitely wouldn’t be investing in any Wander Franco cards until I knew he was in the clear with his legal troubles

It's better to focus on the Vintage stuff when it comes to investing, because these modern cards are way too risky.
According to one article I read, the allegations against Franco, if confirmed, can end up getting him banned from MLB.
Graded vintage HOF players are the way to go, if wanting to invest.

This reminds me of Luis Polonia Back in 1989 when he was arrested and put in jail for 60 days with a $1500 fine. He was arrested for being with A 15 year old. Ironically like Wander it was in his 3rd season that he pulled his bone head mistake. These guys never learn. Polonia got lucky, and went on to play another 9 seasons in MLB.

Just two things I'd like to point out:
- In America despite loud tweets (or now Xs) even by politicians who know better, there is a presumption of innocence.
- Sometimes history repeats itself, i.e. investing in cards in the late 80s and early 90s. I wonder how many have fallen for the enticement again.

He's going to be a star in Japan or South Korea, and there's always winter ball in Venezuela.

TOOT TIME #hobbywakeupcall
THIS is 1 of several reasons why you buy here http://baseballcardstore.ca because i'll never feel sick having sold/screwed someone into paying any card for(insert $ amount here) nor if i sell it for free and it is or becomes "worth" 500$
It's been a hobby and a passion since i was 6 years old going to the corner store getting 10 packs with every dollar i could scrape together. Then later in 77 OPC BB, a box set me back a whopping $5.40 TX included, fast forward to today, i probably pay less then i did back in the 70's and enjoy sharing it with the hobbyists knowing too well there are investors and business gurus lurking.
Have fun in the hobby and a great weekend!!
PS lots of nice cards being added later today and all day tomorrow!.

No excuses for Polonia, but he also played in a different era where, unfortunately, things like this got overlooked.
