I had my 3rd meeting with a TCDB member this year (and ever) today. "Arkansas Traveler" was in the area visiting a relative. He asked if we could meet. Since he had to practically drive right by my house to get back home, I invited him to come to the house. It's better than standing around in a parking lot or sitting in a restaurant for a brief time. Kelly arrived about 11:30am and he just left right at 8pm. We spent most of the time sitting in my "Panther's Lair" (aka the basement den) looking through cards and chatting about all kinds of things, mostly sports and jobs. For those that might say something about it during a pandemic, Kelly wore his Cubs mask the whole time he was in the house. I told him he didn't have to as we were usually separated by several feet anyway. I have 2 couches that kinda face each other. But he kept it on except when we went outside for a picture. He got to look through about 6 huge boxes of cards that I haven't added on this site yet while I rummaged through a few boxes that he brought with him. In the end, we made about a 30-for-30 card trade. We'll certainly make more in the future, even if they aren't in person. That's the most fun I've had with a card trade since I was a teenager nearly 30 years ago! He got all the Mark Martin cards I had dupes of on his wantlist, some MLB cards, a McDonald's GameDay Sheet and a 1984 Fun Foods pin. I got a mixture of Panthers and Cardinals cards. I'd say it was a great day and having him here helped keep my mind off of how bad the Panthers/Bucs game was going. He's certainly welcome to visit me again the next time he's in the area. Here's a picture of us sitting on the patio in the backyard (Kelly on the left and me on the right).

That is so awesome to see. I can already see Chuck's head spinning on how he's going to document this.

Thanks for the replies Tom, Dan, Jim and Ron. And FNB, I did have a few beers while he was here, but it was way too windy for a fire! I'd have offered him a beer too, but he had a 3-hour drive home tonight. I did offer him something to drink and he opted for a cold bottle of water. I still can't believe I've met 3 members of the site this year, especially with the craziness of the pandemic. I didn't post anything for the last meet-up for 2 reasons. The first b/c we didn't get a picture to share and the 2nd is that it was a Beckett meet-up and I didn't know he was a TCDB member too at first. That meeting was on my birthday (7/07) and I was letting him offload a bunch of cards (30K-ish) on me so he could clear up some space at home. THAT is why I've been so quiet on the site as far as forums and background work. I've been sorting and adding those cards for over 2 months now. Those are the unlisted cards that Kelly got to dig through today. I hope he had as much fun as I did!
