I was wondering if anyone has put together a complete rainbow of any players from this year's rainbow? For baseball, there are a whopping 36 color variations (including the base card). -- No, you heard me correctly, I said 36!
Being an Aaron Nola player collector and given the relative cheap value Panini baseball cards can be had for, the last two years I have tried to gather as many Nola prizms as possible. From last year, I am only missing white sparkles (SSP -- probably only around 20 exist), gold (#/10), FOTL Shimmer (#/7), Forest Green (#/5), and Black Finite (#/1). But there were fewer colors last year.
This year, I am only missing 7, which in my opinion is kind of amazing given the number of low numbered cards: Navy Blue Kaleidoscope (#/35), Gold (#/10), Gold Donut Circles (#/10), FOTL Shimmer (#/7), FOTL Purple Shimmer (#/7), Gold Vinyl (#/1), and black finite (#/1).
Frankly, with how rare the rarest are, I imagine this is about as close as I'll get to getting a complete rainbow. I was wondering if anyone has actually succeeded in putting a full rainbow together, especially from this year given there are now not one, but TWO 1/1s to chase, plus another 6 or 7 with a print run of 10 or less.
