Congrats on the retirement! I quit collecting for about 28 years before pulling my collection out of the closet about three months ago. I found this website and went through the process of inventorying and cataloging everything. It took a lot of time because that collection was huge, but I got a lot of enjoyment out of holding and looking through all of those cards.
I double and triple checked everything I input here. I'm confident now that everything I have listed is correct. It was worth the extra time, and I hope you find that to be true as well.
It's so much fun to be back collecting again, and this terrific website has added to it immensely.

I love to trade! Check the top couple of paragraphs of my profile to see my general trading desires. If you're uncertain if I’ll take a certain trade, message me and we can figure out something.

Can someone explain to me reasons why one would delete your collection on TCDB instead of just correct/removed or fill in what's missing? Just trying to understand.
Also, any tips to efficiently enter a collection for the first time? I'm hoping to start in earnest next month. My collection is relatively small (<1,000 items)

One set/box/handful at a time.......if it helps with organization any, you can add notes to cards as you enter them as to location where you are storing them or anything that may help you. Along with adding your extras in for trading, make sure to add in cards that you may want also so that if someone does see something on your trade list, they have an idea of what you may be looking for!

Accuracy.
More labor intensive to start from scratch, but at least you're not chasing your tail, fixing this, fixing that.

I do this once a year usually at the end of the year. Go through my entire collection and verify(put my eyes on) every card I have listed on in a collection or on my tradelist.

Most of the errors I have encountered are when proposing a trade. The other party almost never has the proper variation listed correctly. People seem to use the "add all including error/variations" when listing but never look to see that they only actually have one single variation or only the corrected version of a particular card.

Could be worse. I've asked for a visual verification of the proper VAR, gotten confirmation it was the proper one and still got the wrong one.
