Here's a link to a video about an interesting Topps "baseball" set from 1972:

I don't see them listed here but the set sounds next to impossible to complete!

Interesting video! I'm wondering if those were the first Topps custom cards. I like that on the Topps site, you can still get custom cards made of yourself ($9.99 for 20 cards). These custom cards would also be cool prizes in future Topps contests.

Great video. I'm shocked any of those cards made it that long. And how much of a task it had to have been to obtain that many of them.

I could have sworn I added the checklist for this a couple years ago but I guess I didn't. Here's a link to more info on this set:

I know that more recently an uncut sheet was found. There were only 19 different cards on the sheet. Even though there were 25 winners apparently you had the option of taking a complete set of Topps baseball cards instead. Six people must've gone that route.

Thanks for sharing that video. Maybe one day the C2Cigars TCDB sets will garner as much on the auction block 50 years from now.

Yes I had heard of them before.
I know they were talked about 2 or 3 years ago (maybe 4 or 5) and I also thought they had been added a few years back. Before that I'm not sure if I had known about the contest or not. I think I had seen a vague mention of them years before perhaps during the 1980s or 90s not sure about that though, just that I had seen a discussion about them a few years back on here (or maybe it was another card forum)

It would be really cool if someone knows one of these people, or even better if they collect and are on this site.
Trade On!
