If ANYONE needs to complete 1991 UD MLB or NFL sets, I can probably help you do that. I also have a bunch of the MLB Team Logo Hologram Stickers here. Trading is turned off for now, so just PM me if you are interested. I'm working on sorting another recently acquired multi-thousand-card collection that I'll start adding on here soon. But the '91 UD cards are already listed in my traders and anyone can view those. LMK if you need something - always trading or selling cards!

Reporting back... other than the "every 10 turn them upside down again" pattern, and the fact it was loaded back to front, which offends my developing OCD, I wasn't missing anything in the box.  Thank the card gods for small favors... 

I've never opened a factory set (I've only ever owned 3 anyway, 2 were already opened), but speaking about missing cards, Ive actually gone back through some old sets I thought I had completed just to make sure I had all the cards, but surprisingly there were like 6-7 sets in which I was missing 1-2 cards. I'm slowly filling those annoying holes, but I suppose we all make mistakes, even machines (designed by humans) in a factory!

Good point. HC sets can be missing cards too. Sets I made I feel relatively confident in, BUT acquired ones could be a problem.

Does everybody check HC sets acquired [anyway] for all the cards.?

Think you could just stash it away thinking you have a full set, but little knowst to you the Cal Ripken Jr. card is really missing, Can't do anything about years later.

Great point Bob! I absolutely personally count every single card by-the-number when I acquire HC sets from other people's collections. I'd say my results have been about 50/50 for actually complete sets. The best HC sets are the ones that come with a hand-written list of what is missing! Usually, the missing cards are the ones of the people that person collected.

I've had really good luck on HC sets. I always check my sets before I log and enter anything in here or leave feedback. A majority of the time they are complete though I've hadf times where a common or 2 is missing. It happens to all of us so I don't stress it. I have received sets that were missing ~10% of the cards and the seller's were great on dealing with that. Twice I've bought a 96 Score FB set and twice they were completely bricked with no mention of such in the description. Both time seller's refunded the money. I got a 95/96 UD hockey set a few months back. The cards were great until I got into the 300-series. On the tops were the tell-tale signs of the cards being bricked once and then being separated; affected ~150 of them. The seller, in essence, refunded the entire amount of the set. When the seller works with me I always leave good feedback.     

I'm going back through my HC sets that I did when I was a youth and checking 1) are all the cards there, 2) what condition are they in and 3) just for the enjoyment of looking them over.  Most of my HC sets I have cards that definitely need replaced, so anyone with cards from 75 up to about 86, check my want lists as I need ones to patch sets! :)
