on twitter, someone already said looks like 2013? Donruss

It does have a very Donruss look to it.  I like it but wish the player's name was larger.  Definitely like it more that 2019 or 2020 Topps.

YES! The name needs to be larger. 

Positives: Borders are back, finally!

Negatives: Everything else -- I do not like this design... at all. While I am not crazy about the borderless cards Topps has been putting out the last 5 years, they were starting to make them look better -- I thought 2019 and 2020 were both solid. I definitely like those two better than this one. 

I think this would look significantly better if Topps would stop putting stuff over the borders. It makes the card look very, very messy, kind of like 2015 except worse. That is also why people are probably saying this looks like Donruss -- because that is a design element Donruss has had a number of times in recent years, which I am not a big fan of. Overall, I would give this design a 2.5/10.

TOTAL JUNK !!!!! Topps needs a new design department.

Hey look, Topps is celebrating another anniversary... maybe they should focus on creating a design that will stand the test of time 30/40/50 years from now. Go back to basics.

I like it. It brings tradition (white borders) back into the picture and blends it with a little something different. Is it a top-10 design all time?  Nope, but I have a feeling everyone gagging over it will grow to appreciate it over time. 

My first thought was DONRUSS.
