Oooh, I'm glad this topic came back up. I mentioned it in a forum post the other day, but I just acquired my oldest card for my Army West Point collection:
From the 1909-12 T-51 Murad Cigarettes set. I don't have an image of mine yet (mine has a lovely tear at the top), but this one from our site will do for the time being.
And now, because there's clearly something wrong with my brain, I've decided to build this entire 150 card set. To keep things budget-friendly (these cards aren't overly expensive, but we all know how quick things can add up), I'll be making just a purchase or two at a time, so this will likely take some time - and that's okay. I'm in no rush. This is a multi-year project and I'm very excited.
Sorry for the tangent. Long way of saying that my oldest card is pictured here, and now I want more of them.
I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like?
