Not sure what's going on. The last week I've been spending a lot of time in the cropping area out of boredom I guess.  I keep seeing people scanning cards in top loaders, penny sleeves and even one graded football card yesterday.  Have the rules changed?  I thought these were not allowed?  What's even worse is I see several cards that someone has already cropped/reviewed but didn't have the approval to just push it through.  These cards should never be approved. You can clearly see the plastic in these scans even after cropping.  Why bother if you're not ging to do it right?  I have been sending gentle reminders to people I see on here about this and their response has always been oh thanks I didn't know and I'll do it right moving forward.  Whoever's approving cards in topl loaders, sleeves or so far off center that cropping doesn't help please stop.  It's bad enough there's thousands of crappy scans from point mongers years ago that need to be fixed.  Now we're getting new stuff in that way.  OK rant over.   

Anything goes. Bad scans and photographs are no longer removed, simply tagged for needing replacement. Until that's changed, it may be years (or never) before someone else comes along with a better image, so why bother doing it right the first time?

I've been noticing alot as well, and I've rejected, But the ones that really get me are the ones that are crooked but they still submit. Maybe I didn't see the memo as well

The reminders do not work. one member alone has wrecked havic on the 2006 Panini World Cup Stickers. Set looks a mess, not even a peep out of him while others went in to Tag as not removed, Member went on to scans hundreds more to other set without even a pause in search of that Magic One more point. , I am the point of taking of break on even trying to help crop or replace imagines

If you see a card that has been Reviewed but you can still take an action on it, then it was reviewed by the uploader.  Uploaders can Review their own cards but they don't get immediate approval.

Much of this is why I stopped scanning cards.  When I first came on this site, I saw that most took pride in making sure that their scans were clear and followed the rules that you have to read before doing anything.  But now, there is too much wanting of that point that there is no pride, quantity vs quality.  And yes, we can tag as needing replacement, or we can replace bad scans but it does not correct the problem.  Till the issue is addressed and members' rights revoked when they have too many infractions, it will continue.

Bruno stopped scanning cards, seems to me no point to start. I don't want to be called a point guzzler let alone a bad point guzzler. Think I'll let it slide for now, and work on something else.

Most of my points right now are from scans.  I have a "collection" even set up of cards that either need new images or none uploaded that I have and need to scan in.  When I first started, I wasn't aware, but I have been submitting (IMHO) good scans lately.  I'm trying to get cards up as to what I have and what needs to be updated to make the site better!!!

Judging from the volumn of cards in the Things to Do Replace image section, I'm guessing the policy is a crappy image is better then no image so they put in it and mark it to be replaced.  The more worrysome part is that what is this blatent disregard of rules going to look like when they earn enough points to get more serious permissions

When I check the queue, if a card is scanned in a penny sleeve or top loader and it isn't blurry and there isn't a ton of glare or someone's cell phone reflection standing out, I try to make it as presentable as possible, and if that magic still doesn't work and it's too crooked or blurry or chopped, just gotta reject it and make them redo it. I'd love to see an administrative feature that suspends or disables accounts from uploading images if their uploads have to be tagged and/or replaced. *coughIFFIEcough*
