Has anyone had the ambition to attempt building any year of the ProCards Minor League sets?  As you know they number into the thousands of cards.  If anyone has, how has your progress be going?  What would be any challenges you face?

The most difficult for me will be 1990 since it has two huge gaps in it.  Card 722 is followed by card 1000 completely bypassing 723-999 and card 1460 is followed by card 2000 completely bypassing 1461-1999.

Wether or not the cards that were bypassed exist is difficult to find out.

I have about ten cards from 1990 and THAT alone has caused me enough work to postpone any indulgence beyond that at the moment.

I'm pretty sure I have soon I need to enter. I will take a look.

I just snagged the 'complete run' of 1988 on ebay. its all new sealed team sets though and it appears that it might be missing like 2 or 3 teams based on the numbers visible on the back cards. i haven't opened them though, not sure if i will any time soon.  if you spend enough time on ebay hunting for either big lots or each individual team name, it shouldn't be too hard to assemble complete sets over the course of a few months or a year perhaps.

As I think more on this, and do a little research, the old completists collector comes out of me.  Purchasing each individual team set would definitely be the way to go, especially finding them in large lots of different teams.   My mind would tell me to leave the individual teams intact and unopened.  However not knowing if those individual team sets included the NNO cards I have seen on eBay would drive me nuts.  Some of which aren't included on TCDB checklist.  Leads me to imagin if some may have been distributed separately from the sealed team bags.  Anyone else have insight on this?

Bobby, I have a few of those needs on my Want List (also see my post on completing my 90s Wants).

I can confirm that at least 1989 and 1990 AAA Procards were also released as wax boxes.  (well, not necessarily 'wax' boxes.. i think they may have been plastic packs.. but boxes of packs none-the-less). i'm not sure about other years. so it wasn't only as the team sets.

I have a large amount (hundreds) of the '89 ProCards set that I'd be willing to let go for anyone interested. I don't remember specific teams or players right now, but if anyone is attempting to build it, let me know.
