I went to Target and picked up one of those Fairfield boxes that has ten packs of baseball cards. When I got home and tore into the box two of the packs were those Panini Triple Play cartoon things. What a letdown. I guess some consider them real baseball cards, but when I open a box expecting Topps or Upper Deck or Donruss or Fleer, it's a real downer to get two opacks of something that doesn't even have a photo on it and looks like it's marketed for small children. Am I right to feel cheated or do you guys get excited when you see a pack of Triple Play? Maybe I just need to change my way of thinking.

i can't speak for everybody but to me i can care less what packs i get because in the end they either stay with me in my ever growing collection or they go to the trade bait list

I think I get those Triple Play packs every single time I buy from Target. If I were you I would count on it. I don't like them either, because like you said, it looks like it's a set for 5yr olds. It's kinda like when I buy hockey ones and I get either Pro Set or Score. If you're hoping for better quality stuff, I'd save my money and just buy blasters, so at least you know what you're getting.

Those Triple Play cards are so goofy, I think I have grown to like them. But I get aggravated at the wrestling ones that have 3 or 4 packs of the Raw Deal card game in them. I know they are a numbered set and they are cards, but the pictures are so small, it's often hard to tell who is even in the picture, so I don't like collecting them.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Those boxes always have them. I bought 2 of the $20 dollar ones and they each had 3 of the triple play packs in them but i still like them i got some really cool panini cards from some of the packs and some serial numbered cards out of those target boxes.

I can see the triple play cards in the little window so I know I will get some along with some opening day packs always. I try to look for boxes with GQ or A&g packs and have found some great parallel and numbered cards in them
