Hello Everyone! I've never done this before and I am excited to be apart of such a highly recommend group!
I joined because I happend to randomly run across a lot of cards that have quite a few top NBA players cards that seem to be sought after according to recent EBay auctions.
Please excuse my lack of knowledge in this whole sports cards thing. I am a beginner - like this is my first "baby step" so please bear with me. I hope this is where I'm supposed to post all of this 😊.
I also have baseball and football cards but like I said I am completely new to this and I have no idea who's cards I should be looking for or if that's what I need to be doing ??or??
Well I just wanted to introduce myself . Have a great day!

ask away when ever you have a question or concern.
be sure to list your cards, all those you have want and for trade or sale. Then the data base will match you up with trade partners.
I am just a collector of baseball but I have football and hockey to trade or just send out if we dont match up and there no traders looking for them.

Robert “It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October 2, a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped and summer was gone.” ― A. Bartlett Giamatti robertkimble.us/tradingcards

I'm glad to see you want to collect. Collecting is just plain fun! And it's a great way to learn about the history of the sport (or non-sport!) of your choice. I basically taught myself the history of the NBA via cards back in the 1990s, and now I'm working on the NHL.
While some people do sell on here, trading is much more common...and I believe more fun. I have added about 150 cards in trade already in 2020, and I know I pale in comparison to a lot of the more active members here. It's nice to send out what you don't need and get something back that you do. If you really want to sell though, I suggest Ebay. COMC is another popular choice and the only place I have anything listed, but it's gotten really convoluted on there lately. I generally don't sell cards myself, so I'm afraid that's the extent of my help/knowledge in that area.
Like Bkim says, this community likes to send cards to each other just for fun. For example, I'm trying to come up with a good thank-you gift for him, since he sent me a box full of nothing but Michael Jordans about a year ago. If you want to get a sense of how generous this group is, take a look at the Pay it Forward thread...it's got over 1300 comments, all from people thanking other memembers for gifting them cards!

VERY slow trading due to health problems. Not transferrable so safe to trade with, just moving is painful and can't always access the cards. Welcome to trading card paradise! Pull up a chair here by the TCDB Fountain of Knowledge (aka TCDB Forums). Check out the links at the bottom of each page--tons of fun to discover there, too.

Hello and welcome, I am mainly collect hockey and soccer but always happy to help when I can. As most have said this place is a treasure trove of information and if you do have questions there should be someone there to help out. I have only done a few trades but have been very happy with the results. Most of my card selling I do on COMC. I like COMC better than ebay because I only have to ship the cards once and then they deal with the rest of the shipping stuff.
