This past Sunday was our monthly show. Three local members were in attendance, bevans, BWBC1993, and myself.

And making the several hour drive althib joined in. He and I had planned a meet up to conclude a little transaction. Another great meet up after many mail trades.

It’s always nice to put a face to a name and have good conversation about our hobby.

A note about the show, it was busy! In the two years since moving to the area I have been to every show but two. This was very well attended. In the four hours I was there plenty of money changed hands. All dealers, be it cards or comics, appeared to have brisk sales. Usually the time I am departing some dealers are already starting to pack up. Not yesterday.

I am looking forward to the next show, April 5, and seeing the gang again.

Nice to hear about another great meetup. It's also great to hear that it was a well-attended show. That show may grow bigger or even be held more frequently, depending on what the promoter decides. Where was the show at?

The show is held at Walkley Arena/Jim Durrell Sports Complex.

Physically the space is max-ed, and there is a waiting list for tables. I know because I'm on it. 

I'm not sure if twice monthly would work though. 

I really enjoyed my short time in Ottawa and my meet up with Kari. Very, very nice transaction. The show was great and there was lots of nice cards on the tables. Tons of stuff that I don't see in the stores in my neck of the woods. The weather was nice as well. In my area, the pavement was wet and I needed to clean my windshield all the time, but it was almost a springtime day in Ottawa. The arena room is a bit small for the show, but it was a fun experience overall.  I am also looking forward to my next time there.

Where are the pictures?

How easy is it to get there via OCTranspo? I'm in Ottawa next month for the Sens season finale, and have a free day on the Sunday before heading home.

That would be cool if you could make it. As I live in another town and am unfamiliar with the system I will defer to our Ottawa based members to chime in.

It's 1265 Walkley Road, which is about a ten minute walk from the main Walkley Transitway Station. I've sure there's a local bus which runs East <-> West along Walkley Road too, but it might only run once every 30 minutes on Sundays so you might as well walk.
