So an event showed up in my FB news feed on Friday that Upper Deck would be in town today for the Upper Deck Trade Tour between 11-2 mountain time at a local hotel. I figured it was in conjuction with the Stadium Series hockey game at the Air Force Academy.
I decided at 12 to head to the hotel and see what it was all about. Should have brought some cards with me but there was 4 dealers on hand and about 10 round tables with collectors trading and opening boxes of cards. The UD reps get the event going and had some give aways. Mostly some bargins and trade ups for some GU/auto cards for the higher end sets from years past. I gather they gave away about 12 of these cards, some UD swag, packs of USA National card of the days packs.
I bought a box of 2019-20 Upper Deck hockey series one and had a nice hit of a UD Patch card of Roberto Luongo SN 15/15.
At the entrance they had a poster that as given away at the stadium series, (many as you wanted) a nice surprise 5x7 Cale Makar Young Gun and an Upper Deck Binder for all that came.
Also had a booth that you can have a card made of you on site.
Everyone seemed to have fun and I enjoyed my time there. Just wish I knew what to expect. I would have brought some trade material. Most seemed interested in trading.
Free raffels
a 2017-18 Autographed draft board with all the first round draft picks autographs on the border. Very cool piece. They also had 6 cards blow up on vinyl that were 3'x5' and given away. 3 LA Kings player and 3 Avalanche players.
I talked with the Upper Deck reps about the itdea and they are planning to hold these types events about 8 times a year. So keep an eye out.
Question on the Cale Makar 5x7 card. can I add it to the 2019-20 Upper Deck Hockey set?

Was this 5x7 the only card given out at the event? If so, list it with set as a single Promo. If others, a Promo set needs to be created.
But, big but, are they going to have more of these events this year? Are more cards and different cards going to be given out? If so or unknown, we should wait a little to find out if a Promo set will be needed.

The rep from Upper Deck said there will be more events likely during the playoffs but producing other cards is up in the air. They only produced this 5x7 card for the event.
The trade tour is a new event they are wanting to do throughout the country.

At least you wore a Bruins T to the event. Nice card.
Up in the air, an unknown. Tough call right now. Just thinking about extra work moving images and collections if more cards are produced.
Others can weigh in, but I'd say wait and see what they do at the next one.
Did they have a tentative schedule?

No schedule but like I said looking at the playoffs. The reps said to watch the Upper Deck site for future announcements. Very cool idea,

That does sound like was amazing, I was hoping my Schedule would've taken me to Carson during that time to partake in something like that.
