This hobby shows that something new can happen anytime. I just purchased a few different boxes of 2020 Topps Baseball to get my set underway. Among the various inserts I pulled was my first ever printing plate card. It was a Yellow #240 Jameson Taillon. It was also my first ever 1 of 1 card. Not a particular card that I am over excited about, but none the less, adds to the enjoyment of collecting.

Congrats on pulling a printing plate! I also pulled a 1/1 out of my jumbo box of 2020 Series 1. It's a Johnny Cueto (Giants) Platinum parallel #185.

I have mixed feelings about it. While it is cool to pull a 1/1, the platinum version of the base card isn't all that. Aside from the side/border being a smoke gray color, it looks pretty ordinary. I think I would rather have had the printing plate of this card (or better yet, a printing plate of a Dodger).

I've pulled a few.  First one was a Teyo Johnson 2003 Skybox LE RC.  I quickly sold the card for 100 bucks, which was nice, but it sure was a boring 1/1 for a Buccaneers fan.

Congrats on the pull! As much cool stuff as I've pulled over the years, 1/1 AND printing plate are not on that list. I do own plates and other 1/1's, but I didn't pull them myself.
