While channel surfing the other night, I came across an episode of Hart to Hart that centered around trading cards, it was called "The Harts Strike Out". I remember when the series was in its original run, but my family didn't watch it, so I'm not suprised that I didn't remember this episode. The episode centers around a collection of very valuable baseball cards. I assume that what we were seeing were actually just props. There were a lot of cringe-worthy moments, seeing what the characters did to these cards that they supposedly cared about. Of course, I had to wonder just how many of those props are now floating around the hobby. Funny thing is, if they were documented as props from the show, they might be worth something, unlike run of the mill fakes.
It's not as entertaining as the Spongebob episode about the talking Mermaid Man card, but if you've got nothing to do for an hour and want to watch something with card related content, it might be worth pulling it up on demand.
