That's alot of cards!! I figured he would be much older to have that many, not in his 30's. My wife would probably kill me if I had to build a shed for my cards😀

Thanks for sharing. I enjoy reading and watching stories about card collectors.  I probably have around 120,000 and my wife isn't happy. I don't want to even think about what she'd do if I had 2.8 million.

I read about that a couple of weeks ago. A VERY impressive collection! I couldn't imagine having that many cards in my collection. My approximately 80K pales in comparison, but it still takes up a ton of space.

Wow! That is staggeringly mind-blowing to even conceive that many cards. I wonder how many are doubles. lol

Does anyone know if this is the same kid we saw in the movie we where talking about last year? I can't remember the title of the movie, but it was about that one guy wonder why his cards were not worth more then he assume they be. 

I Have to jump in. My PCs just went over 200,000 cards. [Not sure if this number includes the "green HLed" T/S cards?] 

Cardroom #1 - has @ 50 monsters of Topps inventory, not listed.

Cardroom #2 - has the MAIN COLLECTION of Baseball and Football [most of my Football aren't listed in the 200,000.] yet.

Cardroom #3 - Has Basketball and Hockey, WHICH I'm trying to trade/sell off. Plus @ 100 Monsters of Donruss, Fleer, Score, Upper Deck inventory, not listed.

Not reaching for the calculator, BUT THAT'S ALOT of cards. And now you know Why sometimes I can't locate stuff, and Why I'm eager to trade stuff off....... MAKE AN OFFER !!! ~Bob~

Cardroom #4 - Has mostly but not all Non-Sports, Fleer Stickers Plus and cards presently being worked on. 

Yup, puts my collection of about 20-25% of his in prespective..

But the best part of this story is that a young boy found something to have passion about AND that TimFlannery actually not only took the time to ask the boy if he wanted his autograph but then took him into the locker room to have the whole team sign their cards.

One simple act and Tim locked in a fan for life.  Too bad this kind of gesture does not happen more often (though I will say, it is more frequent around minor league fields and spring training - who can say they had a short conversation with Jack Morris - 1992 spring training in Dunedin).

i read that a cpl weeks ago.. thats unreal.. be great if he got a few friends togehter and posted everything he has on here! he's going to need a GoFund acct soon if he runs out of storage space!!!

The guy is actually in the movie on Netflix about card collecting. They go thru his house and he says every winter he counts all his cards again to see how many he is up to.

He counts them every winter?!!!!! That's amazing! I wouldn't be able to keep up on my Buccaneers count if this site didn't exist

My guess is that there are more people out there with 2 million cards. Just no one ever thought to set a world record about it. Wouldn't be surprised if this is broken soon.
