I have a question I need answered, if you literally see a card image online that shows that its numbering is different from the website checklist would you not use the actual card image as the difinitive answer? 2000-01 ITG ultimate Memorabilia website checklist has card listed as N-35, actual card on ebay is IN-35. Which do you use? The silly part is the seller lists the card as N35?! If I look I bet thats what Beckett has!! Ugh.

For any sites where I have edit access, I update the checklist.  To me, the checklist is not what some self-appointed "authoritative source" says it is, or sometimes not even what the manufacturer says it is.  The checklist is what the cards in the set dictate.

Unfortunately, even this site has many errors in numbering, e.g. prefixes or suffixes not added to the number of the card or cards with no numbers listed in someone's imaginative numbering system.  Makes it more difficult to find or confirm what card you have when it is a specialty, especially without an image.

The cards. Anything else is just an error. Beckett can't figure out how to properly list the card numbers, and 95% of websites and other magzines just copy them.

it can be frustrating when a trusted source gets it wrong. When I typed up the checklists for all the 2015 Press Pass NASCAR inserts, I went off Press Pass's own checklist. They listed the autograph set as having no numbers...and then I got some and see they did in fact have a number. Press Pass had not put a number on the Signings insert ever to my knowledge before this year, so it was only natural to believe it would be the same. (The Signings insert dates back to 1998, I believe).

To make matters worse, apparently not all the cards on the checklist were produced, even though the checklist was released the day before the street date for the set. No one knows yet exactly which cards exist and which don't.

I hear you, the hockey checklists are GAWD awful, and like Billy says you can't even trust the people who make it!! Its all about spending hours and hours online being a bloody super slueth. I have even gone so far as to email people who have collections online asking very nicely for them to confirm numbering and memeorabilia type on the cards!! My OCD will never let me rest!! =)

I have found a few errors in Beckett's numbering in the past. Just shot them an e-mail and they were corrected quite promptly. Just found this site, it's great. Very easy to navigate, good for non-techies like me.
