That or they will use it for their "Living" set or Throwback Now set. Would love to see them bring back Total but just the base set, no need for a thousand inserts and parallels. OK do the silver parallel for old-times sake but no inserts. Topps makes way too many sets now and each one has to have thousands of parallels and inserts that frankly are not needed and we collectors are getting sick of the proliferation of overproduced inserts and parallels.

Indeed, it was enough to get me excited too but like most people seem to be doing I am already wondering how Topps is going to mess it up.

I would collect these. But no SP, no 1/1, no VARs, minimal inserts and parallels, nothing that drives up pack prices. Something that gamblers and speculators will take no notice of. I would love that. The simplicitly of Opening Day, but with a full checklist and it's own design.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

They were always known for their large base sets and not much in the way of extras. I don't mind another set....variety is good.

Yup. Online exclusive. $10 for 10 cards. 100 cards released in 9 waves make a 900 card set. Each 100 is available for a limited time, print runs to be released afterwards. Parallels numbered to 10, 5, and 1. I have lots of swear words right now, but I will refrain from using them (hint: I really despise online only releases. I'll spend $1 for a card of Joey Votto or Buster Posey because I collect them. I will not spend $10 for a chance I might get them. I'll stop there).
What's the best way to do the checklist on this site? Add the first 100, then each 100 as they come out? Or wait and add all 900 at once once it's been released? My gut says to do 100 at a time, base set and three parallels, much like the Topps Now sets, but that means we will be manually adding 100 cards every three weeks. Here's a link to the Wave 1 checklist, if anyone is interested.

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Completely agree. So unnecessary with the parallels. Online cards are of no interest to me. As or adding the checklist, I'm guessing they will be added as they become available and we find out the print runs. Basically, that's like Topps Now isn't it?
