This past weekend, April 7, four members met up at the monthly card show in our nation's capital. From left to right, karsal, sandyrusty, BWBC1993, and bevans. Karsal and sandyrusty completed a five-in-one trade of baseball cards. Due to different collecting choices, other trades would have been minimal. But it is always nice to meet members in person. Hope you brought home plenty of treasures from the show. I still have to enter what I got, all 1975 or older including a few more OPC cards and 3 more 1962 Post cards to add to my sets. Great to meet all of you!

Is that the largest single-location meet-up in TCDB history?! I think it might be. I'm glad you guys all got to get together at a card show.

And you can definitely tell it took place in Canada with everyone donning their jackets/coats for an April meet-up. Must have been a great time.

What you cannot see is ME in spirit, as if I could have I would have gone. Maybe one day I'll meet up with you, Bru & Kari - I've not traded with the other two, but I'm open to it and would also be glad to meet you guys.

The Ottawa show is actually pretty good in size for a monthly show. Being in Canada, obviously hockey dominates the scene but there are a few vendors with older and newer baseball. Football then basketball are much rarer but can be found. There are also comic book sellers at the show. It is where I had picked up a batch of 1953 baseball including Robinson and Paige, the last time I attended. Hopefully next time I go up, we can increase the group by 2 or 3 more.

Beat us by one.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.
