A few years ago, I discovered the T207 brownback set of baseball cards from 1912. I have heard that many people hate them. I can understand why. They are sepia. They are ghostly, creepy even. I kinda fell in love with them, as did my backup daughter. I decided to try to get the full 10-card Cubs set. The daughter immediately decided we needed to create a macabre, interesting display case for them, to highlight the ghostliness. In 2018, I learned that two of the cards are virtually impossible to get, so I concluded getting the other eight would be sufficient. And, over the holidays, I reached a critical mass by obtaining my sixth card. They'll be expensive, but I have no doubt that I'll get the other two (both HOFers) eventually.
Thus, in January, the daughter and I started and virtually finished our display, and we fully finished it last night. It is a large C (for Cubs). It is covered in black velvet. It has a wine-colored ribbon intertwined around the edge, to invoke the image of a baseball. It has black silk roses on the outside, because....just because. It has a blood-dripping label. It is glorious. I shall now attempt to create a link to the pictures.

Be sure to scroll through all eight pictures.
Bottom line: while I love the cards, I love more that my daughter and I created this ridiculous display together. Total cost: about $50; total time: about 12 hours (it was more work than it looks); total value: priceless.
Have fun with your collection!
