I just got back from my Monday mailing and thought I would share the rates I paid since the postage increase kicked in. One trade was a 60 card trade and the other was a 30 card trade. In both cases I put 30 cards in a team bag and then put a rigid holder on top and bottom and taped it up and then put it in a bubble mailer. So the 60 card trade had 2 team bags and 4 rigid holders. The 30 card mailer cost $3.78 ($.126 per card) and the 60 card mailer cost $4.44 ($.074 per card).

Just got back from post office and spoke with USPS rep as soon as I got home. I thought the $3.50, 2 oz puffy was going to be 3.66, but I was charged 4.06. When I questioned a supervisor, she explained the rates are now based on distance shipped. They have set up zones based on distance between acceptance zip code, and delivery zip code. My package was going to California, which is the furtherst zone from my Florida zone, so what was 3.50 on Saturday is now 4.06 today-.56 cents increase when shipping to you fartherest zone. For those shipping from home, I suggest you call USPS to let them walk you through the process, it's complicated and hard to find on your own. There are 8 zones and you can find the zone you're shipping to, then you go to a different page to check the price for that zone. And no there are no zone maps, as the zones can be different for each shipping point. I live in Florida, but have 2 zones in my state, cause it's based on mileage from shipping point. 4.06 to ship 25 cards is getting a little steep per card. Since I can get 12 cards cards in a 3 pocket sheet, I may start asking trade partners if they'll accept with 2 different envelopes coming. The 3 oz. non-machinable is .85 cent, so doubled would be 1.70, versus 4.06. USPS is really affecting the hobby for some. Even the large puffy Priority mailer went from 7.25 to 8.00.

Once I heard of the increase (sometime during the fall), come December (figured the increase would be1 Jan) I started asking the Mail Carriers when the increase would take affect (Stamps). None had the date (or wouldn't tell), I would have purchased a couple rolls (200 stamps), so didn't hear the increase date till it ended up on the news this morning.
I say they should charge Amazon more, along with every e-mail provider.

Any eBay sellers know how this affects the discounted rates when purchasing your mailing label via eBay?

Mailing from NJ to Texas was $2.84 for 1 to 4 oz. From NJ to California it starts at $3.09 for the same weight range.

The two separate PWE idea is interesting.

Multiple PWE's are becoming quite common coming my way. Even did a trade where I received 8 PWE's each holding 14 cards.
Miraculously they all arrived the same day.
With rising shipping rates in both countries , I am totally fine with it.

That's what you get when your employees start at $20/hr. I swear if there were any competition for regular mail and small packages, USPS would go extinct.
