the number you see for base set is a number that a member entered for total cards in the set, NOT a system calculated number.
the system sees how many unique card numbers you have. and the system sees "1a" and "1b" as two unique cards whereas it knows that "1[a]" and "1[b]" are variants of each other.

I guess it's time for those of you with Level 8 access to get updating those numbers!

Doesn't take an 8 (though I'm not sure how far down the ranks card number editing extends)

Well, I keep trying but still don't have L7 yet, thought I was close. Not sure what to do. Shame I can probably straighten out these hi-err/var sets. Guess somebody else must do it !

Bob, you need to reach 1,000 points to obtain Level 7 access. You're currently at 233.

I fixed the 1 a/b and checked through card #200. I'll pick it up tomorrow unless someone beats me to it.

Cl_kyle if your talking about 1990 pro set can I ask (asked this question ages ago), others feel free to join in why the sanders trade show is in the set, I would have thought that like the lud Denny card it would be a promo and not a variation as it wasn’t inserted into packs?

Granted, as many of us know, the '90 ProSet is a mess. In following up this post, although I'm @800 pts. short of being able to actually do anything, I searched for a checklist. Of course they were all different. So I looked at the PSA checklist. Naturally, the numbers don't match...base, master etc. Meanwhile, the ERRs/VARs listings vary greatly...Include Sanders? 800 A & B? Marion's belt and the Jeff George Draft Day Cards to name a few? What should constitute the set, base numbers, master numbers and ERR/VAR inclusion cards?
Now, unfortunately I believe there must be a bunch more of these sets that numbers and cards don't match. I'm willing to help from the research end, but until I get 800 more points, I'm limited. Think we need a plan.
