I've done that, but not with that many cards. Think an 800, or 1,000 count got tipped over once, no big deal.
The thing is to learn from it.

Been there. I elbowed a 900 count box off the table behind me onto the rug a few weeks back. But if you pick them up in the stacks that fell into. They pretty much stay in number order and it takes no time to get them back in order.

What is that behind you!?! Oh, It's me! Looking at the cards you have, That I want. :)

Closest Icame was at a small show last year. I had the 5K box was on top of another that was I was trying to get to. The box was rickety as it was and as soon as I slid it one way (didn't even pick it up yet) the side wall came loose. And I was trying to be careful! Almost everything that came out was wrestling cards commons so no $$$ cards.. The dealer was msotly nuderstanding. I could have been a jerk and complained that he shouldn't have been using such decreipt boxes at a show knowing they would be moved around. The flip side was that I could have just avoided the boxes entirely (but I saw somethnig that I liked!!). Anyhow, gave the dealer a few $ for the damaged cards and all was good.

I was moving 3 (5000 ct box) into my basement and somehow missed a step down goes brown, all three boxes tumble down the stairs all over the place. The ex heard some curse words and a bang. Her only comment was its only cards.
Oh the pain of putting all the cards back in order.

I had a shelving unit collapse a few years ago in the guest room w/sets, several 5k boxes, and unopened. Thankfully the bed caught most of it (and there was no one in it at the time) and nothing spilled, just a few corner dings on a box or two.

Well,
I kind of figured. I knew someone had outdone me... or me being more recent failed to outdo the three box stair drop... the ensuing furor was probably about a third or less (one box vs three and no tripping). No shouting curses - 2 yo daughter upstairs- just threw the lid at the metal ductwork, scoffed at myself and ran for the camera because I knew it was funny.... and it would end up on the TCDB forum in a few hours.
cl_kyle I feel worse for you losing shelves than about your cards. Glad nobody got hurt.
Wine and baseball cards...? I don't like wine but I haven't categorically banned water or a can of Dr. Pepper at the sorting station (usually my kitchen table) though I try to mitigate the risk- wait til I'm done or take my drink break "off-site". I don't have any animals either.
I knew you guys would make me feel better. Thank you, TCDB virtual support group. Let's see how much longer this thread lives, we have to be approaching half-life. Any more confessions or fatherly life advice out there?

I haven't done that but I'm in the process of putting away a lot of cards which means a lot of box shuffling. I'm afraid I'm going to do it.

Capewood,
Pretend you are a pizza man or a forklift. Don't grab by an end or edge - even two edges. Support that bottom. Be granny panties, not a thong!

Been there, don't that. Don't recall doing any major damage to things. Don't have any photos of the incident (didn't think to document something like that to be honest), Don't even have the lousy t-shirt.
